U.S. Zinc Mine Production Declines in November

According to the latest data from the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), recoverable zinc mine production in the United States totaled 45,700 metric tons in November 2024. Cumulative production from January through November reached 674,000 metric tons, slightly exceeding the 673,000 metric tons recorded during the same period in 2023.
Daily recoverable production in November averaged 1,520 metric tons, marking a 27% decrease from the previous month and a 17% decline compared to November 2023.
The North American premium to the London Metal Exchange (LME) cash price averaged 17.4 cents per pound in November, down slightly from 17.5 cents per pound in the prior month and 31% lower than in November 2023.
