RevoCast has announced plans to construct a new aluminium remelting facility in Langley, British Columbia, Canada, with groundbreaking scheduled for the second quarter of 2025 and commissioning targeted for 2026. The plant will cover approximately 11,148 square meters and is designed to operate with sustainability as a central focus, utilizing high recycled content and advanced technologies to recycle and remelt a diverse range of raw materials. RevoCast’s upcoming facility will prioritize reducing carbon emissions while supplying remelt billets to the North American extrusion market.
Once operational, the facility will have an annual production capacity exceeding 80,000 tons (176.4 million pounds) of billet. Initially, production will focus on billets in two diameters—178 mm (7 inches) and 203 mm (8 inches)—with a maximum sellable length of 7.3 meters (288 inches). These billets will be produced in the 6xxx alloy series, known for their versatility and suitability for a wide range of extrusion applications. The factory aims to support a reliable and resilient billet supply, addressing growing demand in North America while advancing regional job creation and economic resilience.
Thomas Martini, President & CEO of RevoCast, emphasized the company’s commitment to sustainability, stating that by closing the loop and giving aluminium a second life, the facility will help reduce environmental impact and strengthen the aluminium supply chain across North America. The plant’s focus on high recycled content aligns with broader industry trends toward low-carbon aluminium production and circular economy practices.
