Taural India, an integrated aluminum foundry, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Government of Maharashtra to expand its advanced manufacturing operations in Supa, Ahilya Nagar. The agreement, finalized during the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, underscores Maharashtra’s dedication to fostering industrial growth in Tier II regions.

Currently operating a 300,000 sq. ft. facility in Pune, Taural India specializes in providing end-to-end aluminum sand-casting solutions, including design, testing, painting, assembly, and delivery. The new facility in Supa, which will be four times larger, aims to meet growing demand from key sectors such as energy, defense, aerospace, railways, marine, and healthcare.

The project represents a significant investment of ₹500 crore ($60.6 million), which Taural India’s Managing Director and CEO, Bharat Gite, described as transformative for the region. He highlighted the initiative’s potential to decentralize industries, empower Tier-II and Tier-III regions, and enhance self-reliance and innovation in the state.
