Tajikistan Increases Aluminum Production by 24% in 2024

Tajikistan's aluminum production rose 24% year-on-year to 86,000 tonnes in 2024, according to Industry and New Technologies Minister Sherali Kabir. Speaking at a press conference in Dushanbe, Kabir also noted that aluminum output increased 47% in value terms, while cathode copper production saw significant growth.
“We hope that the trend continues developing,” Kabir stated. The minister also highlighted ongoing discussions with China Mining, which aim to boost copper processing capabilities within Tajikistan.
In addition to aluminum and copper, the country reported increases in other metal outputs for 2024: gold production rose by 18.8%, antimony by 23%, and silver by 45%.
