Saudi Aluminum Casting Foundry Begins Trial Operations
Saudi Aluminum Casting Foundry, a subsidiary of Obeikan Glass, has commenced trial operations at its aluminum casting facility in Al-Madina Al-Munawwara Industrial City. The facility is set to produce a range of aluminum products as part of its manufacturing and casting processes.
The company stated that the pilot phase will continue until factory equipment is fully tested and operational efficiency is confirmed. Commercial production is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2025, at which point the financial impact of the operations is anticipated to be realized.
In August 2023, Obeikan Glass entered into a partnership with Al-Esra Aluminum Factory to establish and operate the aluminum casting facility at a total investment of SAR 73 million ($19.47 million). Under the agreement, Obeikan Glass holds a 60% stake in the project, while Al-Esra Aluminum owns the remaining 40%.
