InZinc to Launch Summer 2025 Drilling at Indy Sedex Zinc-Lead-Silver Project in British Columbia

InZinc Mining Ltd. has confirmed funding approval for a summer 2025 diamond drilling campaign at its wholly owned Indy Sedex project, located 90 kilometers southeast of Prince George, British Columbia.

The company, which is fully permitted for up to 60 drill holes over a five-year period, plans to begin drilling in the first week of June. Backed by a strong working capital position, InZinc aims to expand on earlier discoveries of near-surface zinc-lead-silver and barite mineralization.

The Indy project targets sedimentary exhalative (Sedex) mineralization — a globally significant source of zinc. Although only 129 Sedex deposits have been identified worldwide, they hold over 50% of known zinc reserves and contribute roughly 25% of annual global zinc production, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

In 2024, host rocks at Indy were geologically linked by age and mineral profile to the Selwyn Basin, a major 1,100-kilometer-long sedimentary belt in Yukon and northeastern British Columbia. The Selwyn Basin ranks as the world’s second-largest accumulation of Sedex deposits, including several world-class zinc districts.
