Fast Cables Commissions Copper Upcasting Plant, Boosts Annual Capacity to 15,000 Tons

Fast Cables has successfully commissioned a state-of-the-art Copper Upcasting Plant, increasing its nameplate capacity by 10,000 tons and bringing the company’s total copper production capacity to 15,000 tons per annum. This milestone, disclosed in a filing to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), aligns with Fast Cables’ ongoing expansion strategy and marks a significant enhancement of its operational capabilities.

The new plant is expected to improve production efficiency and enable Fast Cables to better meet rising demand in both domestic and international markets. The upcasting process, widely used in the industry, allows for the production of high-quality oxygen-free copper rods and tubes, which are essential for manufacturing electrical cables and conductors. This investment positions Fast Cables to capitalize on growth opportunities in the power, construction, and industrial sectors.

The company’s expansion comes at a time when global demand for copper products is increasing, driven by infrastructure development and the transition to renewable energy. Fast Cables’ enhanced capacity will also support its export ambitions, contributing to Pakistan’s industrial growth and competitiveness in the regional market.
