Dundee Precious Metals Meets 2024 Production Targets at Bulgarian Mines

January 15, 2025

Canada-based Dundee Precious Metals (DPM) announced that its Bulgarian operations, the Ada Tepe and Chelopech mines, successfully met their 2024 annual production guidance, according to preliminary results released on Wednesday.

Ada Tepe recorded its highest quarterly output in the fourth quarter, producing 29,000 ounces of gold, contributing to a total annual production of approximately 94,300 ounces. This strong finish reflected a return to budgeted mining rates and operations that aligned with expectations.

Meanwhile, the Chelopech mine delivered 167,000 ounces of gold and 29.7 million pounds of copper throughout the year. In the fourth quarter alone, Chelopech produced about 41,900 ounces of gold and 7.8 million pounds of copper.

DPM had forecasted gold production between 245,000 and 285,000 ounces for 2024, alongside copper production expectations of 29 to 34 million pounds. The final production figures confirm the company met its targets.

“We ended 2024 on a strong note, with Ada Tepe delivering its highest quarterly production of the year, and Chelopech continuing its long track record of performance,” said David Rae, DPM president and CEO, in a press release.
