January 21, 2025

China Gold International Resources Corp. Ltd. has released its 2025 production guidance and confirmed that operations at the Jiama Copper-Gold Polymetallic Mine remain unaffected following the January 7 earthquake in Tibet Autonomous Region.

The company forecasts copper production at the Jiama Mine to range between 139 million pounds (63,000 tonnes) and 148 million pounds (67,000 tonnes) for 2025. Gold output from Jiama is expected to reach between 69,124 ounces (2.15 tonnes) and 73,947 ounces (2.3 tonnes). At the CSH Mine, total gold production is projected between 77,162 ounces (2.4 tonnes) and 83,592 ounces (2.6 tonnes).

The Jiama Mine, located approximately 500 kilometers from Dingri County in Shigatse City, was unaffected by the recent earthquake. As a precaution, safety protocols were implemented immediately across all mining areas.

In a statement, Chairman and CEO Chenguang Hou highlighted the company’s progress in 2024, including the resumption of production at the Jiama Mine and achieving profitability by the third quarter. For 2025, the company plans to maintain steady operations while advancing development plans at Jiama and accelerating the underground resource development at the CSH Mine.

China Gold International also announced plans to release its audited 2024 financial statements, along with management’s discussion and analysis, by the end of March 2025. The company will hold roadshow events to discuss its year-end results and performance.
