Hammerer Aluminium Industries Launches Extrusion Facility in South Korea

Hammerer Aluminium Industries (HAI) has inaugurated a new extrusion production hall in Gumi, Gyeongsangbuk-do province, South Korea. The 13,800 square meter facility, constructed with an investment of approximately $49.8 million (converted from €46 million), features a fully automated extrusion line with a pressing force of 60 meganewtons and comprehensive upstream and downstream systems.

The facility, developed in partnership with LS Cable & System, will be operated by HAI Materials Korea (HAIMK) and is set to produce complex aluminum components for the South Korean market. The official opening ceremony took place on May 15, 2025, with executives from both HAI and LS Cable & System in attendance, alongside other business and political representatives.

HAI’s new site is aimed at supplying the growing demand for advanced extrusion products, particularly in the electromobility sector. The company highlighted the rapid completion and commissioning of the plant as a testament to the capabilities of its team and partners.
